Hadron! or SC as a graphical patching environment!

Batuhan Bozkurt (Istanbul/TR), recently released his latest SuperCollider Quark! All of a sudden the good-old SC reminds us a bit of Max/MSP, a bit of Bidule but with much more possibilities and a GREAT SOUND!

Hadron is a graphical patching environment that lives inside SuperCollider. It is designed by Istanbul based Sound Artist/Programmer Batuhan Bozkurt.  Mainly used for building interfaces made with SuperCollider code chunks (plugins). Hadron introduces a new approach to handle the connections between them and allows you to use it as a compostional tool.

But before you get your hearts pound to the rhythm, lets make one thing clear: Hadron is in its initial release cycle, and needs some support.

To know more about Hadron and how you can give support (no worries we are not asking for a dime =D ) Check Batuhan’s personal blog: EarSlap!

Talented Miss Wipprecht…

Lately I’ve been introduced to the world of wearable electronics myself, as well. What I’m doing with my recent discovery of course, is no match to what Anouk Wipprecht has been doing with her futuristic designs. Anouk (NL) is a talented and hard working, next-gen fashion designer to say the least. I had the chance to see some of her works last year but what she’s been up to lately during her stay in Sweden clearly rises the bar quite high.

From her words:

I specialise myself in wearable electronics, the intersection of design, fashion, science, and technology. I’m busy with concepting for the future, future fashion design props, building electronical circuits, interaction design, instalations, science, coding and programming. I’m always trying to create great ambiance by doing research in order to build strong concepts that represent my ideas.

I think her current speciality, wearable electronics, will be incredibly inspiring for those of you who are interested in the crossovers between art & technology! Take a look & do not forget to visit her website and blog.
